Our Staff

Dr. Tina Merhoff grew up in a small town in west Tennessee, where she received her pre-college education. She then attended Middle Tennessee State University, where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree. Following college, she attended the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry, where she also received her specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. Tina is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and an associate member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She holds membership in the American Dental Association, North Carolina Dental Society, North Carolina Academy of Pediatric Dentists, Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry, and the American Society of Dentistry for Children.

She was on faculty as an instructor for the Department of Dentistry of Wake Forest University School of Medicine. There she pursued hospital pediatric dentistry with special interests in Craniofacial Deformities and children with special needs. Dr. Tina holds hospital privileges at Forsyth Memorial Hospital in Winston-Salem, and all it's associated surgical centers.

Currently, Dr. Tina resides in Salisbury with her husband Vance, their daughters Maddie Bea and Abigail Louise, and their Yorkshire Terrier, Dagny. Vance completed his residency in Urology at Wake Forest University School of Medicine and practices at Salisbury Urological Clinic, in Salisbury, North Carolina.

Dr. Amy Davidian grew up in Durham, North Carolina. In 1999, she graduated with Honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Arts degree. During her junior year, she was inducted in to Phi-Beta Kappa. While at UNC-Chapel Hill, Dr. Davidian was an active member of the Carolina Indian Circle, was President of the local chapter of the American Indian Science and Engineering Society, and a member of Delta-Delta-Sigma, UNC's pre-dental fraternity. In the SMART Program, she served as a tutor and mentor for undergraduate students who planned to pursue health related studies.

In 2003, Dr. Davidian graduated from the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry, receiving her Doctor of Dental Surgery. During dental school, she received the A.T. Anderson Memorial Scholarship, the Lettie Pate Whitehead Scholarship, and was a finalist for the Dental Alumni Foundation Award. She was a member of the American Association of Women Dentists, and the American Dental Education Association. Dr. Davidian served as a Graduate Advisor, participated in Operation Smile, worked as a dental provider for Student Health Action Clinic, and served as a community partner for the ARC of Chapel Hill. In the Headstart program of N.C., she taught oral health care to preschool children. Dr. Davidian has a special interest in dental missions work and had the opportunity to work with teams in the Dominican Republic and Mexico.

Following dental school, Dr. Davidian was accepted for specialty training at The Children's Hospital in Denver, Colorado. This two-year residency program enabled her to pursue her interest in pediatric dentistry. She gained valuable experience and knowledge in oral/conscious sedation, pediatric dental trauma, and special needs dentistry within a unique hospital environment. While in Denver, she volunteered to speak to new mothers in the community about infant oral care. As part of her training, Dr. Davidian completed research regarding treatment options for a common problem facing dentists in the specialty of pediatric dentistry.

Dr. Davidian is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, The American Dental Association, the North Carolina Dental Society, The North Carolina Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. Amy will be celebrating her two year wedding anniversary soon. Although she temporarily left North Carolina to be with her husband in Ohio while he completed his residency, they have now returned to North Carolina. We are honored that she has began working with us again on a full time basis.

Dr. Kimberly Scott graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in 1997. Prior to joining Dr. Tina Merhoff's Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Kim owned and operated her own general dental office. During her experience with general dentistry, she developed a great desire to focus on children and adolescent care.

Dr. Kim is an active member of The American Dental Association, an associate member of The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and The Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. Kim is excited about practicing with her sister. She is currently pursuing residency training in Pediatric Dentistry, and will be working part time in our office until she completes her training.

Lauren Widener graduated from the Dental Assisting Program at Forsyth Technical Community College in July of 2005. Soon after, she began working for Dr. Tina Merhoff. She recently passed her boards and is now a certified dental assistant. She is happily married and lives in Winston Salem with her husband Greg and her dog Yoshi. Lauren enjoys singing in a contemporary Christian band called "13 Pints", reading, shopping, animals and God's special little children.

Maggie Cline graduated from the Dental Assisting Program at Guilford Technical Community College in 2008. She rotated through our office as part of her schooling and was hired immediately upon completion. Shortly after graduating, Maggie went on to complete her boards and became a certified dental assistant.

Maggie now resides in Archdale with her husband, Chris, and their little Westie named William. In her free time, Maggie enjoys shopping, traveling and spending time with her family.

Elizabeth Souto is a graduate of the class of 1996 from Robert Morgan Technical College. She has more then 14 years experience in Pediatric Dentistry, serving as a dental assistant. In July 2005, she moved from Florida with her husband, Greg, and daughters, Ruby and Gennevi, to Salisbury, North Carolina. Elizabeth attends a Jehovah's Witness Congregation. She enjoys cooking for family and friends and spending quality time with her husband and daughters.

Erin Robertson graduated from Dental Assisting Program at Guilford Technical Community College in July 2003, where she was Vice President of her graduating class. She has been working for Dr. Tina Merhoff and Associates since graduation.

Erin is happily married to her husband, Chad, and has a daughter Reese who is the joy of their lives.

Meagan Needham attended Surry Community College, Central Piedmont College, and NCDATS. She began her dental career in a Pediatric Dental Practice in Charlotte, North Carolina in 2007. She became part of the Dream Team at Dr. Tina Merhoff and Associates Pediatric Dentistry in February 2010. She was born and raised in Pilot Mountain, and she and her boyfriend, Mike, enjoy spending time with friends and family. She also enjoys home decorating and entertaining.

Lisa Moore is a Dental Assistant. She received her education at Wake Forest University School of Medicine and Wilkes Community College. She was an assistant in general dentistry and orthodontics for fifteen years. Lisa has been working with Dr. Tina Merhoff since October of 2000.

Lisa lives in Wilkes County and is happily married to her husband Pastor Joey Moore. She has two beautiful daughters, Megan and Erin. Lisa is a member of Boiling Springs Baptist Church, where her husband is Pastor. She enjoys working with the children and youth. Lisa also enjoys shopping and traveling.

In 2001, Stellena Caudill and her family became patients of Dr. Tina Merhoff. The experience she had as a patient made such an impression on her that she decided to pursue a career in the dental field. She spent her summers observing the dental office and learning all she could until 2005, when she began attending Maryville College in Tennessee. She received her Dental Assisting Certification at Wake Forest University.

Stellena recently relocated to Winston Salem with fiancé, Chris, and their dog, Frank. She is the oldest of six siblings leaving little free time, but she does enjoy reading, traveling and being outdoors.

Denna Rominger has more then 25 years experience as a Registered Dental Hygienist. Her education began with two years at Appalachian State University, and then one year at Western Piedmont Community College in the Dental Assisting Program. After becoming a Certified Dental Assistant, she further pursued her education in dentistry at Ashville-Buncombe Technical College with a degree in Dental Hygiene. She facilitates as Hygiene Coordinator for Dr. Tina Merhoff.

Denna enjoys working with children in a fun environment and teaching them the importance of good dental health. Her goal for every child that comes into the office is to make each dental appointment with her positive and stress free.

Denna lives in Advance with her son Josh. Her daughter, Jennifer, is in college at UNC Chapel hill pursuing a degree in Dentistry. Denna loves spending time with her kids, cooking, exercising, and traveling.

Ashley McBride received her Dental Hygiene degree from Guilford Technical Community College in May 2005. She also received her degree in dental assisting from Guilford Technical Community College in July 2003.

Ashley resides in Clemmons with her husband, Will, and her two children, Alex and Thatcher. She enjoys spending her free time with her family and friends. Her favorite activities include travel, shopping, and playing with her three dogs, Dixie, Ajay, and Maggie.

Judy Goldbach has been with Dr. Tina's practice since April 2001. She brings over 20 years of dental experience to the practice. Judy started as a part time chairside dental assistant in and Endodontic Office. She worked her way up to dental assisting in a General Practice and eventually became the office manager of that practice. In 1996, she moved to North Carolina and worked as the secretary supervisor for the Departement of Dentistry at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, where she met Dr. Merhoff. Judy loves meeting new people and really enjoys working with children.

April Nieman relocated from Ohio to Winston Salem in 2006 with her husband, Ryan. Prior to joining Dr. Merhoff and Associates, she had eight years of experience in the dental administration management and consulting.

April and her husband attend Grace Baptist Temple, where they are involved in various ministries. In her free time, April enjoys spending as much time as possible with Ryan and their two dogs, Maggie and Baxter.

Paula France is one of eleven children. She is the Financial Coordinator and has been with Dr. Merhoff and Associates Pediatric Dental office since January of 2000. She attended Wilkes Community College where she received her Child Care Credentials in 1995. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Tony, and their boys, Corey and Tyler. She also likes cooking and many outdoor activities.

Lauren Vargas moved to the Winston Salem area in 2006 after her husband, Rick, finished his tour of duty in the U.S. Navy, where they were stationed in Connecticut. Lauren had three prior years of Pediatric Dental experience before joining the staff at Dr. Merhoff and Associates in April of 2006. Lauren and Rick, have two beautiful children, Maiah and Gabriel. Some of Lauren's hobbies include shopping, cooking, and especially spending quality time with her family.
