Laura Johnson, DDS
Laura Johnson, DDS is an Eastern North Carolina native, growing up in a small town outside of Greenville, NC. Dr. Laura graduated from East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2005, and earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2009. She completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry post-doctoral residency program in Norfolk, VA, while serving on active duty in the United States Navy.
After practicing general dentistry for 7 years, Dr. Johnson confirmed that her true calling in dentistry was caring for children and adolescents. In 2016, she began her residency in pediatric dentistry at East Carolina University and completed her specialty training in 2018. She excelled in passing her pediatric dentistry written board, and recently gained board certification in pediatric dentistry in October 2019.
She is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, North Carolina Dental Society, and the North Carolina Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Johnson served 5 years on active duty, and is proud to continue to serve our country in the U.S. Navy Reserves. She enjoys trying new restaurants and new foods, live music, singing, and belly laughing with her sister. Dr. Johnson and her family are enjoying living in Winston Salem and are looking forward to becoming an integral part of our community.
She is accepting new patients and specializes in dental care for infants, children, adolescents, and special needs patients.
